CONFIRMATION

What is confirmation?  Confirmation is a two year faith journey where students have the opportunity to learn, and grow, in their faith and come to understand what they believe and why. The goal of confirmation is that students would come to own and express their faith as they profess Jesus as Lord. It typically includes 7th and 8th grade students but we are open to other situations.

When do classes meet?

What do we do?

Confirmation class meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-7:30pm. For the 2020-2021 year we have a hybrid option where participants can join online via zoom. Over the two year journey we spend one year looking at the Biblical narrative and the other year examining the core Christian beliefs (Commandments, Lord's Prayer, the Apostle's Creed, and Sacraments). Each night we have a mixture of worship, games, teaching, small group time and relevant activities to emphasize the teaching points.

Additional Components

In addition to the weekly Wednesday class time there are retreats, service projects and conferences designed to build community and grow students in the areas of evangelism, service and discipleship.

  • Got a question? As part of confirmation you can anonymously ask ANYTHING. This can be about faith, Bible, a certain topic your facing in family or at school. We will take the first 15 minutes of class each week to go over any newly submitted questions.
